Salesforce Knowledge is offered as a feature license add-on to most Service Cloud editions. The read only version is included in the Lightning Professional plan ($75/user/month) and Lightning Enterprise plan ($150/user/month) but will entail additional costs if you opt for the read/write version of Knowledge on those two plans. Meanwhile, the read/write version is already part and parcel of the Lightning Unlimited plan ($300/user/month).

Almost as essential as features and customer support quality are pricing plans offered by Salesforce Knowledge and Helpie. While cost should not be the sole factor it’s surely a significant thing to consider. You should try to find a flexible pricing package that can be adjusted to your team size and easily scaled up if your business grows. Make sure you don’t choose pricing plans that have additional tools that you won’t find a use for and always try to contact with the vendor directly as big companies can often benefit from more affordable prices. You should also give a chance to a free trial or demo of each software to spend at least some time working with it. It’s a useful experience that doesn’t need you to pay any money and provides you with a practical overview of what it’s like to work with Salesforce Knowledge and Helpie.
